Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Social Worker (LSW or LCSW) with specialized expertise in addictions counseling to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide individual and group therapy, develop treatment plans, conduct home visits, and collaborate with community partners to support clients in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients’ substance use and mental health needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention strategies.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, coping skills, and life skills development.

• Provide individual counseling to address substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health issues, and related challenges.

• Conduct home visits in Queen Anne's County, Maryland, to assess client needs, provide support, and ensure continuity of care.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure holistic care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Engage with families and support systems to provide education and resources for recovery.

• Participate in community outreach and prevention programs to promote awareness of addiction issues.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

  • Current Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Maryland.

  • Experience in addictions counseling or substance abuse treatment.

  • Certification in addictions counseling (e.g., CADC, CAADC) or willingness to obtain within 12 months.

  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use disorders.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits.

• Preferred:

  • Experience working with diverse populations and co-occurring disorders.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.
